Clarification
of March 19, 1999 Press Release
|
| March 23, 1999 |
| Following a request
for clarification from the Canadian Dealing Network Inc. of its March 19
press release, Mr. Thomas Fairfull, Chairman of E.W.M.C. International Inc.
(“EWMC”) confirmed that he hoped that written agreements would be in place
in the near future which would confirm the payment and delivery schedule
for the first System, to be installed in Brodno Regional Hospital but he
could not make representations as to when such written agreement will be
completed. That agreement should also provide payment schedules and delivery
dates for five additional Systems. Management of E.W.M.C. International Inc. confirms that the purpose behind recent meetings held in Warsaw, Poland was to provide support to its proposed Polish joint venture partner, KWP Eco-Polska SP. In conjunction with the President of Eco-Polska SP., meetings were held with representatives of Krakow University, the Ministry of Economic Cooperation, the Directorate of the Environmental Protection Department, the Polish Club of Ecologists and the Administration of the Brodno Regional Hospital, among others. EWMC has been assured by the representatives of KWP Eco-Polska SP. that no objections will be raised with respect to the use of the patented EWMC reverse polymerization technology which is the basis for the operation of the EWMC MD-1000 reverse polymerization Medical Waste Reduction System, based upon confirmation of emission tests previously carried out by Dr. Adam Grochowalski of Krakow University at EWMC’s Ajax plant. EWMC also received verbal assurance that financing was available for the acquisition of the Medical Waste Reduction Systems at a price of $1,250,000 (U.S.) per System. EWMC, a publicly traded Company, has successfully developed and patented a “reverse polymerization” technology, which reduces organic material to its original molecular components economically and without harmful emissions. At present, EWMC has developed processors that treat medical waste and tires. Trading in EWMC’s shares are reported on the Canadian Dealing Network Inc. (CDN) under the symbol “EWMI”.
