EWMC Management Team Announced

EWMC International Inc. (“EWMC”) is pleased to announce that its Management Team is now in place and that the company is poised to meet the challenge for the expected growth over the next few years.

Members of the Management Team are:
Lyle Hoegy, Vice President, Marketing & Sales
Doug Norton, Vice President, Operations
Neil Burnett, Vice President, Research & Development
Stephen Simms, Executive Vice President, Finance & Business Services

Lyle Hoegy brings over 18 years of solid international marketing and sales experience, having held previous sales & marketing positions at Brampton Engineering and Macro Engineering & Technology. His international experience includes capital equipment sales to Eastern and Western Europe, UK, South and North America, South East Asia and the Middle East. Lyle spent over 11 years with Dow Chemicals providing technical support for the sale of polyethylene and chlorinated polyethylene resins. Lyle has an Honors B.Sc degree in Applied Chemistry and is a member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association and the Society of Plastics Engineers. Lyle’s top priority will be to develop an effective international marketing & sales force, while expanding existing sales.

Doug Norton has been with EWMC since 1994. He was a primary driving force behind the design, development and commercialization of the MD-1000 Medical Waste Processor and was involved in running the pilot Tire Reduction Facility at the Ajax Plant. Doug has had considerable experience with EWMC’s Reverse Polymerization Process and his group will be taking a lead role in installing the first MD-1000 unit in Wales, and providing on-going customer support. EWMC recognizes the importance of after sales support of its products and Doug’s group will be building a strong technical support unit. Prior to joining EWMC, Doug consulted to Chrysler Corporation USA for the automation and manufacturing of the Stratus and Cirrus vehicles. For 10 years, Doug was President & CEO of Noranco Manufacturing, a precision metal fabricating & machining company. Noranco supplied NASA with the launch control consoles at the Cape Canaveral command center.

Neil Burnett brings a strong, disciplined approach to R&D, an area he has worked in for over 20 years. He has had considerable exposure to environmental technologies, having spent a number of years in nuclear waste management in Ontario and the UK and more recently at Ontario Power Technologies, working in the areas of PCB destruction, wastewater treatment and biodiversity monitoring. Neil has a Ph.D from the Faculty of Materials Science, Sheffield, UK and has worked closely with industry on a number of electro-technologies including resistance and induction heating, laser processing and plasma arc melting. Neil was past Chairman of the Canadian Electrical Association’s R&D Utilization Committee and has been a Board member of the Ontario Centre for Environmental Technologies Advancement (OCETA). In leading EWMC’s R&D Program, Neil’s group will be pursuing new opportunities to apply the principles of reverse polymerization to waste disposal issues, as well as adapting existing products to achieve greater customer value.

Stephen Simms has been a Board Director of EWMC since 1993 and has more recently been involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. He was appointed a Vice President of EWMC in 1996. Stephen brings a wealth of business acumen to EWMC through his on-going associations with high tech companies. He was recently an investor-relations consultant to Rampart Mercantile and World Wise Technologies and presently sits on the boards of Consolidated Care Point Medical Centers and Canadian Golden Dragon Resources. Stephen also served as a Director of Park Meditech and Pinetree Capital. Trained as a professional dentist, Stephen also has a B.Sc in Physiology and an extensive background in electronics and computer science. Stephen’s mandate is to ensure that costs are contained and that EWMC’s financial resources are managed in a prudent and fiscally responsible manner.

CEO & President, Mr. Robert Bryniak states that “Our strong management team is a reflection of who we are as a company and signals EWMC’s readiness for growth”. He went on to say that the company has recently attracted other key staff and that more will be joining, as sales of existing product lines grow and R&D efforts expand for new applications.
