E.W.M.C. INTERNATIONAL INC. ANNUAL SHAREHOLDER MEETING UPDATE
September 3, 1997

Shareholders at E.W.M.C. International Inc. (EWMC) Annual Shareholder Meeting, held on September 2, 1997, were informed that EWMC has been granted approval to sell the EWMC Medical Waste Processor in the state of North Carolina, and that EWMC has entered into a new joint venture with SMC Pneumatics (Canada) Ltd. (SMC).

The State of North Carolina, after reviewing the reports of tests conducted on the EWMC medical waste processor, and following additional rigorous testing at their request, have approved the medical waste processor for sale in the state of North Carolina. North Carolina is a member of a 22 state association, whose goal was to set standards for the handling and disposal of medical waste through alternate treatment methods. Through this approval, EWMC is now in a position to apply for approval in each of the other participating 21 US states. This now paves the way for EWMC to achieve sales directly in the state of North Carolina. EWMC has begun a direct marketing approach into North Carolina, as well as various other US states, and hopes to culminate some direct sales in the near future.

The joint venture with SMC represents another step forward in EWMC’s goal of aligning itself with world renowned manufacturers and suppliers. The basis of this goal is to allow EWMC the ability to manufacture and market quality products, hand in hand with the direct manufacturers of these major components. This allows EWMC to keep a handle on costs, while maximizing the potential profitability of its future sales. SMC is head-quartered in Japan, with sales in excess of 2 billion dollars worldwide. SMC supplies pneumatic control systems and components for both the EWMC medical waste processor, and the EWMC rubber tire processor.

E.W.M.C. International Inc. is an environmental waste management company, that through its wholly owned subsidiary, EWMC Environmental Waste Management Corporation, has the exclusive rights to exploit and market a patented reverse polymerization process as it applies to several applications throughout various parts of the world.
