Annual General Meeting
October 28, 1999

I am pleased to be writing to you in my capacity as the new President of your Company. Enclosed is a Management Information Circular which outlines the business to be undertaken at the next Shareholders’ Meeting. In the short time that I have been on the board, I have had the opportunity to appreciate the tremendous research and development efforts that have led to a market-ready technology.

Previous management spent the last six years investing in development and testing of EWMC’S environmental waste reduction technology and processes in preparation for commericial operation. Regrettably, this has also meant less than satisfactory shareholder returns. But with the technology barrier broken, the Company is now poised to break the profit barrier.

As a former Vice President of one of North America’s largest electric utilities, I understand financial challenge, the need for a compelling customer value proposition, corporate vision and strong leadership. With over 20 years of experience in finance, marketing & sales, and operational management, I also bring with me a commitment to create and deliver increasing shareholder value.

I will share with you at the Shareholders’ Meeting EWMC’s plans for the year going forward. This will be a different Company. Our focus will be on increasing shareholder value and performance. We will be a more open Company.

My immediate priority is to generate revenue this year to improve our cash position. To accomplish this, our strategy in the short term will require us to harvest commercial market opportunites in medical waste management, by securing a minimum single installation on an outright sale, demonstration, or fee for service basis. This combined with aggressive and targeted marketing efforts, will establish EWMC as a commercially viable operation and position the Company for future growth.

To improve investor confidence, EWMC will communicate our progress regularly and openly to its shareholders.I welcome and encourage your participation as the Company moves closer to the new millennium and commerical success, and also welcome your participation at the meeting on December 2, 1999.

Yours truly,
Robert Bryniak
