EXXADON
GETS MOEE C of A FOR MEDICAL WASTE PROCESSOR
|
| November 28, 1995 |
| Exxadon is pleased
to announce that the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MOEE) of Ontario
has granted Exxadon/EWMC a Certificate of Approval (C of A). The C of A
is for the patented Exxadon/EWMC Medical Waste Processor located at Exxadon's
head office in Ajax, Ontario. The granting of the C of A was based on information
and test results supplied by an independent environmental engineering firm
and allows Exxadon/EWMC to operate the processor and to conduct all testing
as needed. The Exxadon/EWMC Medical Waste Processor uses the patented Emery Microwave Process to totally sterilize and carbonize all types of medical waste without producing any toxic emissions. With this process, the otherwise hazardous medical waste can then be disposed of as safe, non-hazardous waste at any friendly landfill site. By treating the waste on site, right in the hospital with the Exxadon/EWMC Processor, the hospitals save the costs of sorting and disposing of each type of medical waste as well as the high costs of transporting the waste, and eliminate the need to incinerate the waste, thereby not producing any dioxins or other air borne pollutants. In a further update, United Medical of Brazil was recently at Exxadon's Ajax Facility with a group of corporate personnel they have recently brought on-line to handle sales and servicing of Exxadon/EWMC's Medical Waste Processor. United Medical has also booked a return visit to Exxadon's Ajax facility before the end of this year, with a major contingency of Government and Medical authorities to further advance their sales and marketing efforts within their own country. While every effort is made to keep all information current and accurate, all information is subject to change without notice. Errors and omissions excepted. © Copyright 1998-2000 |
