Symbol Change (C-YEW) Environmental Waste International Inc

Effective at market open on Dec. 31, 2003, further to the TSX Venture Exchange notice to issuers bulletin of Oct. 2, 2003, announcing the elimination of Tier 3, the trading symbol for the company will change to EWS from YEW. There is no change in the company name, no change in the Cusip number and no consolidation of capital.

The company will be transferred to Tier 2 from Tier 3 effective Jan. 2, 2004, as part of the windup of Tier 3.
