Overview
EWI has successfully demonstrated systems for the treatment of both medical waste and tires and is now actively marketing these applications; however, EWI believes that these two applications are only the beginning. EWI is embarking on research and development of new applications for its Reverse Polymerization technology.
We believe there are many other waste materials that have the potential to provide new, profitable business lines for the company. Among those under consideration over the next couple of years, are:
- Auto shredder residue
- Contaminated soil
- Low level radioactive waste
- BSE (Mad Cow Disease) destruction
- Sewage and manure sludge
- Waste plastic
Other value added processes for such as drying and the production of new carbon-based materials will also be investigated.
So what is EWI's approach to this new research and development? The product development process, the R&D plans and our test facility described below, show a clear direction for R&D in the company.
